Cynthia Brooks Nickerson is a health communication specialist, with extensive experience in media and health communication. Cynthia’s media background includes two decades as a news anchor/health reporter for various television and radio stations. Cynthia also is co-founder of a video production company that produced marketing and promotional videos for nonprofits and wrote several grants that funded medical documentaries that aired for independent television.
Cynthia is a doctoral student in Organizational Leadership, with a research focus on organizational communication strategies that can lead to health equity.
Cynthia has a MS in Health Communication from Boston University, and a BA in Broadcast Journalism from University of Southern California. She is a native of Los Angeles and is the mother of three adult children, all of whom are working in the Communications/Marketing/Tech fields.
